How We Security-Test Our Own CRM
We hold our own product to the same bar we test client systems against. Our own CRM is security-tested continuously, with a mix of automated tooling and adversarial AI agents, backed by human review. This is how we work, and why it matters if you are going to trust us with your data.
Important notice. This case study is published for general informational and educational purposes only. We deliberately leave out technical specifics, methods, and reproducible steps, both to prevent misuse and to protect the systems involved. Nothing here is an instruction or an encouragement to test, access, or interfere with any system you do not own or are not authorized in writing to test, and Dabster Labs accepts no liability for any action taken on the basis of this content.
How we test it
Security is not a one-time audit for us, it is part of how the product is built. Every change runs through automated security checks before it ships. On top of that, we point adversarial AI agents at the application to probe its business logic, and we run manual, hands-on testing for the classes of problem that automated tools routinely miss. Nothing is taken on trust: findings are verified against the actual code before anything is called a real issue.
The hardening is in the product, not on a slide
What that testing drives is implemented, not promised. Access to data is locked down so one account cannot reach another’s, sensitive values are protected at rest, connections to outside services are constrained so the system cannot be tricked into reaching where it should not, and anything that touches an AI model passes through controls that keep personal data from leaking out. We keep the specifics private, but the principle is simple: the protections are in the code and they are tested, not described in a brochure.
Our honest limits
We are straight about what this is and is not. Our own CRM is self-assessed. It is not independently audited and it is not certified. The team that builds it also tests it, and same-team testing always carries some bias. We would rather say that openly than imply a certification we do not hold. It is also exactly why, when we test a client’s system, a human re-verifies every machine-produced finding by hand.
Why this matters
An automation partner holds your data. If we did not hold our own systems to a real security bar, you should not trust us with yours. The point is not a clean scan on one day, it is a repeatable process: automated checks on every change, adversarial AI probing, manual verification, and fixes proven by re-testing.
