How Much Does AI Automation Cost in Cyprus? Market Price Bands for 2026 and What Moves Them
Dabster Labs · Last updated 23 October 2026
AI automation in Cyprus costs less than most owners expect and more than the ads suggest. The honest way to answer is not one number but four price bands, because “AI automation” covers everything from a 30-euro-a-month chatbot widget to a system that answers your phone, books appointments and updates your CRM. Below are the bands we see in the Cyprus and Greece market in 2026, what moves a project up or down inside them, and how to read a quote. Our own packages are on the pricing page; this article is about the market.
The four price bands in Cyprus and Greece, 2026
| What you buy | Typical market range | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Off-the-shelf tools (chatbot widgets, Zapier or Make plans, AI add-ons to software you already pay for) | 20 to 150 euros a month per tool | Fast, generic, you set it up yourself. Fine for one simple task, expensive and fragile once you have five of them. |
| Process audit or discovery by an agency or consultant | A few hundred to about 2,000 euros | A map of how the business actually runs and which tasks are worth automating first, usually credited against a build. |
| Custom automation build (chatbot on your own documents, workflow between your tools, CRM integration) | Low thousands for one focused flow, 10,000 and up for a system with several connected flows | Built for your data and tools, documented, tested, with a fixed price in writing from serious providers. |
| Ongoing management and hosting (monitoring, updates, fixes, EU hosting) | A few hundred to about 1,000 euros a month depending on how much runs | Someone watches it, fixes it and keeps it compliant. The alternative is you, or a freelancer on call. |
AI voice agents sit in their own band: software-only services start at tens of euros a month plus per-minute charges, agency-run agents with Greek, booking and CRM duties run from a few hundred a month plus a setup fee. Because the band is wide, we publish our voice packages openly on the AI voice agents page.
What actually moves the price
- How many systems it touches. A flow that reads email and writes to one spreadsheet is cheap. A flow that reads email, checks the CRM, asks the accounting system, and replies on WhatsApp is four integrations, each with its own quirks.
- Whether your data is ready. Clean contacts in one CRM: fast. Contacts in three spreadsheets, two inboxes and a phone: the first weeks are cleanup, not automation.
- Greek. Classification, extraction and short replies in Greek work well with the right model. Long Greek text, voice and dialect need better models and more testing, which is time.
- Compliance duties. A chatbot that only answers FAQs is simple. One that captures personal data, needs consent records, call recording rules or an EU-only data path carries real work, and it is work you want done.
- Who runs it afterwards. A one-off build with no care plan is cheaper on day one and more expensive the first time it breaks at 9 pm.
How to read a quote
Five things a quote for a Cyprus business should state in writing. If any is missing, ask.
- A fixed price for the build, or a clearly capped range, not an hourly rate with no ceiling.
- What is included in the monthly fee: hosting, monitoring, how fixes are handled, and what counts as a new feature.
- Where the data lives and which AI providers see it, with a data processing agreement. “EU hosting” should mean an EU company, not a US company with an EU server.
- Who owns what. You should own the workflows, the documents and the data, and be able to take them with you.
- What happens to third-party costs: API usage, WhatsApp conversation fees, phone minutes. They are usually passed through; they should be estimated, not hidden.
Compared to hiring
A full-time employee handling calls, follow-ups and data entry in Cyprus costs upwards of 1,300 euros a month before employer contributions, works one shift and takes leave. An automation covering the same repetitive slice runs all day, every day. The fair comparison is not “robot versus person”, it is “which part of the week should a person stop doing”. The audit exists to find that slice and put a number on it before you spend anything on a build.
Frequently asked questions
Why is there no single price for AI automation?
Because the word covers a widget and a phone system. Ask for the band first, then for a written fixed price inside it after a short audit.
Is a paid audit worth it if I do not continue?
If it ends with a written document ranking your automation opportunities by return, with the data and tool constraints spelled out, yes. You can take it to any provider. If it ends with a sales pitch, it was a sales call with a price tag.
Are there hidden costs?
The usual ones are third-party usage fees and the time your own team spends giving access, examples and feedback. Both should be estimated in the quote.
How fast does it pay back?
For repetitive, daily tasks with a measurable time cost, a focused build commonly pays back within the first year. For “nice to have” automations it may never, which is exactly what the audit is for.
The next step
If you want our numbers rather than the market’s, the packages and what each includes are on the pricing page, and the exact price for your case is written down after the process audit, before you sign. The Greek version of this article: Πόσο κοστίζει το AI automation σε Κύπρο και Ελλάδα.
